At the outset, I wish to thank the council members of the APOA Foot & Ankle section for bestowing me with the great responsibility of leading the council as a chairman. It indeed is a great honour & pleasure for me. I promise to strive hard to live with the expectations of my team.
Leadership is never an avenue to be self-serving but rather a platform to nurture teamwork to accomplish the mission.
APOA Foot & Ankle section, though it is in its infantile phase, the enthusiasm to spread the flame of knowledge of foot and ankle orthopaedics amongst the fraternity and commitment to strive the mission in the shortest time is unparalleled.
My immediate commitments are to set up a council website, increase the membership, and make the council vibrant regarding education. I have already started my actions in the same direction. The success council had to date has solely been credited to unique teamwork by APOA Foot & Ankle Section.
I take this appointment as a call to serve APOA Foot & Ankle Council, more than as a personal honour. My aim will focus on making the council stronger.
Last but not least, I invite each one of you to become a member of the APOA Foot & Ankle Council and help foster and strengthen this burgeoning community and the speciality.
